Biography
A gifted and spirited speaker, Through the Darkest Valley author Teresa Smith is the founder of New Pathways, a ministry which guides people towards hope and healing. She is an expert on hope and healing, depression and anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder and domestic violence. Smith is passionate about showing others the way to find inner peace and hope, and emotional and spiritual health. Smith has served and inspired churches throughout Virginia. She resides in Stafford, Virginia with her husband and teenage daughter.
Accomplishments
--Doctor of Ministry degree in Spirituality and Suffering; Workshop/Retreat Leader and Speaker for numerous groups, among them: The International United Methodist Clergywomen’s Convocation and Expanding our Horizons Regional Conference. --Creator and Director of Summer Camps for children designed to help children with loss, build self-esteem and or roll with life’s punches. -- Facilitator of Friends4Health, a survivor group for people with chronic illness or pain, providing laughter, coping skills, inspiration, and guided meditation.
